Rabbi Maury KelmanOsek B'tzorchei Tzibbur Award
Rabbi Maury Kelman received hisrabbinic ordination from Yeshiva University’s Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological
Seminary and a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. He has served as
a rabbi in congregations in New York and Jerusalem and has run educational
programs in numerous cities in Europe and North America. He is the
founder and chairman of Kedma, a Jewish student organization, and is President
of Bnai Israel Hushatine Kloise. Professionally, he’s worked as a
corporate attorney at a Manhattan law firm and currently serves as counsel for
an investment firm. Rabbi Kelman also directs Route 613, an Orthodox
conversion program, and serves as the rabbi at Camp Seneca Lake. Rabbi Kelman is married to Peninah, a User Experience designer, and they are the
proud parents of three children.
Maury’s
contribution to Ohav Sholom is immeasurable, frequently filling in for and
aiding Rabbi Mehlman and serving our community, as he does for klal yisroel.
